Doggie Diva Deborah

What started out as a hobby that made me happy and relieved stress soon became my business! It was my love of animals, especially dogs, inspired me to create Doggie Diva Pet Care, LLC!

I left a corporate day job to pursue my life’s occu-passion- to take care of living creatures both large and small.

Taking care of animals is fun and fulfilling for me. It is not work! I am happiest when I am around animals and in nature.

I grew up with parents who let us have lots of pets! We were blessed as children to have parents who let us have all kinds of pets- dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hampsters, gerbils, fish, birds, ducks, a horse, ferrets, and even rats.

Deborah Brightstar

My ultimate vision and goal is to own and operate an animal rescue and retreat center called Brightstar Sanctuary - “A Safe Haven Where Animals and People Connect for Healing, Community and Love”.

Doggie Diva Pet Care, LLC is a wonderful way for me to manifest that dream of reaching out to more animals that need loving and safe homes in which to live while also creating a community of people who share my love of animals.

There are over 11 million domestic cats and dogs euthanized in the United States alone simply due to overpopulation. I support “No Kill” shelters, spay and neutering, education and adopting shelter pets as a way of contributing to the solution.

We are licensed, bonded and insured. I am also trained and certified in Pet First Aid. I am a volunteer docent at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.

I teach their Pet First Aide Class and their Animal Abuse Awareness class. I am also involved with the Arizona Greyhound Rescue in Tucson, Arizona.

My Springer Spaniel Pepper and I are trained as a Delta Society certified therapy dog team.

I consider myself an advocate for the humane treatment of all animals. I write articles and speak to increase public awareness on treating domestic animals as well as livestock in more humane ways.

I have rescued three dogs of my own who have become my furry family members.
